Summary

The Mississippi Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control is part of the states Department of Revenue. Mississippi statute grants the Department of Revenue the sole right to import and sell wines containing greater than 5% alcohol by weight and distilled spirits containing greater than 4% alcohol by weight at wholesale within the state.

A manufacturer’s registered representative who is a full time employee of the manufacturer must be licensed with the ABC. The representative may then appoint a broker to represent the manufacturer. A Statement of Monies Paid to brokers must be filed with the ABC annually by February 1st.
