Market Access Issues

Market Access Issues

The State Relations team works with legislators and regulators to help smooth the route to market for wineries, addressing issues such as licensing, tastings and other aspects of the marketplace.

As Tennessee and Oklahoma have recently moved to include wine sales in foodstores, and Pennsylvania has created the Wine Expanded Permit licenses to allow for sales of wine outside of the PLCB stores, the State Relations team has worked to normalize the rules in these states to allow for consumers to have access to as many wines as possible through these new channels.

State Legislation Tracker

Wine Institute members have access to State Net’s bill tracking service showing all legislation currently being tracked by the State Relations team.
