Bottle Deposit Laws & Other Environmental Legislation

The need to address bottle deposit law proposals and other environmentally sensitive issues continues to grow across the country. Wine Institute staff work to find sensible, sustainable solutions that also make economic sense for winery compliance. New proposals such as Advance Disposal Fees, mandatory recycled content labeling, GMO labeling and other problematic and expensive requirements continue to be sought by our opponents, and we are working to find constructive alternatives to offer as counterproposals in the future.
