Agricultural Workforce Reform

Ensuring an adequate pool of qualified agricultural workers is a top priority for wineries and winegrape growers across California. Wineries depend on farm workers to produce world class winegrapes and wines and without access to a stable workforce many would not be able to survive.

We support comprehensive reform of current farm labor policies to meet current and future workforce needs. This reform must include policies that address the needs of both the current farm workforce and also ensure a steady supply of future workers. Wine Institute works closely with the Agriculture Workforce Coalition and supports the current process underway in Congress to enact comprehensive farm labor reforms.
