Nutrition Data Calculator for Restaurant Menus

The FDA rule implementing the nutrition labeling provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act requires that alcohol beverage suppliers disclose a specific set of nutrition information (total calories, sodium, total carbohydrates, and sugars) to restaurant chains with 20 or more locations beginning May 7, 2018. Wine Institute has developed this Nutrition Calculator as a tool for members to efficiently facilitate restaurant and retail food establishment compliance with FDA’s menu labeling rule. The information generated is based on FDA-mandated calculation methods and typical values.

To use the calculator, first enter the required wine information fields on this page. After wine brand, wine description, label alcohol percentage and typical sugar range are input, click “Next” at the bottom of the page to generate a wine nutrition information sheet that can be shared with restaurants and retail food establishments.
