EU Nutrition & Labeling

Beginning in December of 2023, wines exported to the European Union (EU) will be required to disclose information on nutritional content and ingredients. Some of the information must be disclosed on the physical label, while other information will be disclosed through digital e-labels that consumers will access using a QR code on the bottle. Wine Institute has prepared an FAQ document to help members adapt to the new regulations. It provides information on the specifics of the disclosure requirements and will be updated on an ongoing basis as information becomes available. In addition, view the recording of our Sept. 14, 2023, webinar that reviewed certain compliance aspects of EU ingredient labeling as well as an EU Nutrition Calculator to assist with generating EU-compliant nutrition information.
