New Jersey Introduces Online Licensing System

On June 4, the New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control launched their new electronic licensing system, POSSE ABC. The POSSE system manages all types of licenses and permits, including those governing the manufacturing activities of Wine Institute members, namely wholesaler, solicitor, marketing agent and out-of-state winery licenses and permits. All current licensees will be expected to renew their licenses for the 2015-16 term electronically and were sent an access code with their renewal notice. Members that have not received their Renewal Letter should contact the ABC at 609/984-2830.

To ensure a smooth transition, New Jersey ABC is providing a grace period and extending the deadline for alcohol licenses renewals from June 30 to Sept. 18, 2015. However, from June 4 until June 30, 2015 all licensees in New Jersey must sign in and become registered users of POSSE.
