Comment Period and Public Hearing for SB 1013 Addition of New Beverage Containers Permanent Regulations

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has begun formal rulemaking activities regarding SB 1013 (Atkins, 2022) Addition of New Beverage Containers Permanent Regulations. The Notice of Proposed Action was published by the Office of Administrative Law on August 15, 2025, and the public comment period is open until Sept. 30, when CalRecycle will hold a hybrid public hearing at 10 a.m. The public hearing will be accessible via Zoom, webcast and in person in the wheelchair-accessible Byron Sher Auditorium located on the second floor of the CalRecycle headquarters at 1001 I Street, Sacramento, California.
