Arkansas DTC Applications Available

The new direct shipping law (Act 675 of 2025) that established a Wine Direct Shipper Permit became effective on August 5, 2025. Wineries holding an approved permit may ship up to 24 cases of wine annually to an Arkansas resident who resides in a wet county and is at least 21 years of age. The cost for a new permit is $50 with subsequent renewals costing $25 per year. All brand labels must be registered online in the Product Registration Online (PRO) system under either a supplier permit or a direct wine shipping permit prior to being shipped into the state. Direct wine shipping can begin if the products have already been registered under a supplier’s permit in the PRO system, which is being updated to allow those with only a wine direct shipper permit to register brands. Quarterly shipment reports must be submitted to the ABC after the close of each quarter following the Arkansas fiscal year calendar; the exact due date will be determined during rulemaking. Sales tax and wine tax returns and payments are due monthly. The application form is available here and more details on the new law may be found on the AR DTC page on Wine Institute’s website.
