Wine Institute has joined with Napa Valley Vintners to host an April 22, 2022, webinar from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. featuring technical and legal experts on the issue of accessible websites for visually-impaired or blind customers, as is required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This session comes after a recent spate of lawsuits have targeted California businesses without ADA compliant websites.

Speakers include:

• Jason Taylor – chief innovation strategist and advisor to the CEO for service provider UseableNet
• Scott Labarre – general counsel, National Federation of the Blind
• Nick S. Pujji – partner, Dentons

This virtual session will outline the importance of accessibility and what standards are required, offer practical tips for proactively coming into compliance and avoiding costly settlements and share ideas for what to do if you have received a complaint. The conversation will also highlight legislative efforts underway to address this significant issue.
