Learn the latest on implementation and tracking of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and how it could impact your winery during a one-hour webinar.

David Orth and Stacie Ann Silva, who have extensive experience with SGMA, long-term water supply and land-use planning, will share their learnings and observations on how SGMA efforts are progressing. Wine Institute is working with them to help members understand the actions being proposed by groundwater sustainability agencies that could impact groundwater availability as well as proposed fees. Local agencies — formed for the purpose of executing SGMA — have developed and implemented plans to regulate groundwater based on the severity of groundwater depletion in any given basin.
