Register for Jan. 15 Webinar on U.S. Organic Alcohol Exports to Japan

Please join Wine Institute, the Organic Trade Association and the Distilled Spirits Council for a Jan. 15, 2025, webinar at 10 a.m. During the session staff from the National Organic Program (NOP) will share timely updates on the addition of alcohol standards to the U.S.-Japan Organic Equivalence Arrangement, procedural updates on U.S. organic alcohol exports to Japan and answer questions.

As background, the U.S. and Japan reached an agreement on adding alcohol labeling standards to our existing organic equivalence arrangement on Oct. 1, 2025. Previously, Japan did not have mandatory standards for organic alcohol products. The new standards and their incorporation into our existing equivalence both keep trade open with Japan and protect our domestic industry through fair trade practices.
