New Guidance for Tasting Rooms & Temporary Outdoor Structures

New Guidance Document for Winery Tasting Rooms Released

A new winery-specific tasting room guidance document, issued on Nov. 24 by the State, clarifies that indoor service without a meal is not allowed unless counties are in the Orange or Yellow tier. (Tasting Rooms that elect to provide meal service may conduct indoor service at up to 25% capacity in the Red tier).

In other information of note, the document clarifies that spacing between seating must be 6 feet as measured from the back of chairs and provides details on spacing for performers. If not wearing a mask, performers must maintain at least 12 feet of distance from spectators. Dual face coverings for employees that come within 6 feet of a customer will also be encouraged.
