Gov. Newsom Signs Recycling Bill

On Oct. 13, 2023, Gov. Newsom signed Senate Bill 353 (Dodd, D-Napa) — the bill making several key changes to the Bottle Bill law, streamlining implementation for the introduction of wine and spirits products into the program effective Jan. 1, 2024. Wine Institute’s comprehensive California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act web page has been updated. It includes an implementation guide for wineries, a list of frequently asked questions as well as additional resources.
