Gov. Newsom Signs Legislation Allowing Additional Tasting Room

In addition to the legislation Gov. Newsom signed Sept. 23, 2021, Wine Institute is pleased to announce that he has also signed the following Wine Institute supported measure:

SB 19 (Glazer, D-Orinda) Winegrowers: tasting rooms: With passage of this measure wineries are allowed to open an additional offsite tasting room under their existing 02 license. A one-time application fee of $440 will be applicable for these additional tasting rooms. Previously, the law limited wineries to only one offsite tasting room in addition to a tasting room at their production facility. Wine Institute has been working to secure passage of this policy since 2018. The measure will go into effect on January 1, 2022.
