Bottle Bill Information on Wine Institute Website

Wine Institute has published a comprehensive web page on the updated California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act (better known as the Bottle Bill). Effective January 1, 2024, wine and spirits containers will be added into California’s beverage container recycling program. Beginning July 1, 2025, wine and spirits products sold for consumption in California will be required to be labeled with California Redemption Value (CRV) indicia. The web page has an implementation guide for wineries, a list of frequently asked questions as well as additional resources.
