Action Needed: Mail Your Pierce’s Disease/Glassy-Winged Sharpshooter Referendum Ballot TODAY

The future of critical vineyard protection in California is on the line — and we need your help.

As of May 28, just 31% of ballots have been returned for the Pierce’s Disease/Glassy-Winged Sharpshooter (PD/GWSS) Referendum. CDFA requires a 40% return rate for the vote to count. If you paid the 2024 PD/GWSS assessment, you should have received a ballot in your mailbox in April.

Ballots must be postmarked by the June 12 deadline.

A “YES” vote continues critical funding through 2031 for:

  • Research on pests and disease
  • GWSS detection and eradication
  • Nursery inspections and treatment oversight
  • Biological and area-wide control programs

This program is one of our most effective tools to protect vineyard health.

Mail your ballot today.
