Wine Institute Membership Application Forms

Winery Members

Eligibility

The business must be a bonded winery licensed in the State of California, or own or lease a bonded winery or a bonded wine cellar in California. In addition, the business must be producing or selling wine in the state.

All applicants for membership are approved by Wine Institute Board of Directors.

Dues

In addition to the membership application, members must submit a dues computation form. Dues are based on a percentage of sales and/or gallons sold. Dues start at just $300/year for small producers, and may be paid collectively or individually on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Members who own or lease more than one bonded winery or permit number must pay dues for each entity. Wine produced or bottled in California that derives any portion of its volume from grapes grown in California is subject to dues. Additionally, members are allowed to use either formula for each brand or SKU (stock-keeping unit).

Associate Members

Eligibility

Companies whose products and services are generally available to the wine industry.

Prospective Associate Members must be sponsored by two active winery members of Wine Institute. All applicants for membership are approved by Wine Institute Board of Directors.
