Wine Institute members are invited to the 2026 Spring Board of Directors Meeting, taking place March 9–10 at The Sutter Club.

Each year, our Spring Board Meeting offers members a front-row seat to the latest policy priorities, advocacy efforts and strategic activities underway at Wine Institute. Just as important, it’s a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow wine community leaders, exchange perspectives and strengthen the relationships that help move our industry forward.

The two-day meeting kicks off Monday evening with a legislative reception, offering a unique opportunity to network with fellow Wine Institute members alongside legislators and other state leaders in an informal, welcoming setting.

This year’s program will feature a range of timely policy and advocacy discussions, including:

A Conversation with California Legislative Leaders
A featured discussion with two influential state leaders shaping California’s policy landscape:

Monique Limón, Senate President pro Tempore (D-Santa Barbara)
Blanca Rubio, Assemblymember (D-Baldwin Park), Chair of Governmental Organization Committee

This candid conversation will offer insight into the challenges and opportunities ahead — and how the wine community can engage effectively with policymakers.

The Story of Wine: A United Narrative for Advocacy & Influence
We’ll also debut new messaging and communication strategies in an interactive session that will help you tell your story with clarity and confidence, strengthen our collective advocacy efforts, and shift how wine is understood by policymakers.
