Wine Institute members held its spring Board of Directors Meeting March 11-12, 2024, at The Sutter Club in Sacramento.

We were honored to have California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis and Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry address our members at the board meeting on March 12. Chairman Randall Lange discussed the strategic planning process Wine Institute is undertaking and President and CEO Robert P. Koch provided an update on the new initiative to reinforce the unique and positive aspects of wine to consumers and policymakers. In addition, Wine Institute staff presented on several topics, including a 2024 legislative overview, updates on regulatory matters and social sustainability issues impacting certain export markets.
