Wine Institute’s 30th Annual REPORT Highlights Export Opportunities & Details Challenges

Wine Institute Trade Barriers Report 2018-2019The 2018-2019 International Trade Barriers Report, prepared by Wine Institute’s International Public Policy Department, is now available. The 30th annual report focuses this year on “Why We Export,” highlighting several member’s views on the importance of sharing their wine with the world.

The report, current as of Sept. 12, 2018, also includes an analysis of recent trade barrier trends and information on Wine Institute’s public-private partnerships to proactively prevent additional export red tape. On Oct. 16, 2018, the U.S. government announced that it will start trade negotiations with Japan and the United Kingdom.

The report also reviews the significant trade challenges threatening further growth and is distributed to Wine Institute members and U.S. government officials who assist members on export promotion and trade policy issues throughout the year.
