Update on Shelter-in-Place Orders

As this is a rapidly evolving situation and more counties are issuing shelter-in-place orders please check our update page for the latest.

Monterey, Napa, Sonoma and Yolo have been added to the list of counties with Shelter-in-Place Orders that close “non-essential businesses.” Wineries in all of these jurisdictions meet the definition of an essential business and are allowed to continue operations. The Monterey, Napa and Yolo County orders allow purchase and pick-up of wine at wineries and winery vineyards, production and business operations to continue. Wine Institute is working with Sonoma County officials to clarify their Shelter-in-Place Order as it relates to retail sales.

Wine Institute will continue to monitor and provide updates on the current situation here.
